Daniels Family Farm CSA 2010
Jim and Emily Daniels are the fourth generation of Daniels’ to work the home farm in East Albany, Vermont. Our goal is to bring the farm into the fifth generation through diverse and sustainable methods while humanely providing the best tasting, safest, most nutritious meats and nourishing the soil.
Our animals are given care twice daily. We raise small batches so that we can pay careful attention, adapt, and diversify. We use mostly organic methods, but are more concerned with our animals’ health than strict adherence to a prescribed regimen. For example, we seasonally balance pasture, whey, hay and grain rations in order to grow happy, healthy animals and produce top-quality meat.
Daniels Family Farm CSA members have access to top-quality delicious, nutritious food, and they know where it comes from. They support food safety, environmental quality, and soil health –and consume safe meat from healthy animals that were raised and slaughtered humanely. We understand the seasonal aspect of local food production, and that it will require a greater commitment than supermarket shopping, but there is no comparison in taste or nurtrition.
